Post-snow Performance of Mafilon Active Anti-freezing Pavement.
On December 12, 2023, Beijing experienced several consecutive days of heavy snowfall, especially in the southwestern region, with a large amount of snowfall. Let’s take a look at the performance of Mafilon’s active anti-icing road surface.
This video was shot on the unopened section of the Beijing Ring Expressway (Fangshan Zhangfang section), this area contains all the negative elements of snow and ice: heavy snow, low temperature (-10 ℃), bridge deck, shaded areas, mountain valleys, and unopened traffic. We filmed without cutting, showing the comparison of the adhesion between the snow layer and the road surface on adjacent trial and comparison sections, the same lane, the same rut line.
In addition, we also observed the Mafilon technology application section in non-bridge areas, and showed that the section did not undergo snow removal operations. The natural leakage rate of the road surface was much higher than that of the comparison section, almost all of which were black, with only snow accumulation on the shoulders and guardrails.
Therefore, the application of Mafilon’s anti-freezing pavement has achieved the expected effect, greatly reducing the safety hazards of winter traffic, improving traffic flow rate, and providing convenient snow removal conditions even in heavy snow and lower temperatures.
